Gerard PAUL Kordsmeier, 96, of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on December 22, 2021.  Paul was born January 28, 1925 in Little Rock Arkansas.  In 1941 his family moved to Saint Louis where he graduated from McBride High School, and earned a degree from Saint Louis University.  He was a WWII Veteran in US Navy.  Paul was a member of Knights of Columbus, the American Legion, and retired from the Army Aviation Command.  Paul and his young family moved from Saint Louis, Missouri to Fort Worth Texas, to Minneapolis, Minnesota. He returned to Saint Louis with his six children after his first wife, Marion June passed.  After returning to Saint Louis, he met Mary Schwaab who had four children of her own.  They married in 1973 and shared a life together for 39 years.  Paul participated in an aging study with Washington University in Saint Louis for many years.  He donated his brain to Washington University and donated his body to the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He continues to give after his life here on earth.  He was a member of Our Lady of Providence Catholic Church in Saint Louis.  Paul was a devoted husband and father who always thought of others.  His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, will miss him and his wisdom.  He was so much fun to be around.  He had a love for life, travel and especially the beach.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Gerard (George) Paul Kordsmeier Sr., and Agnes May (nee Schneider), wife Mary Frances Kordsmeier, (nee Wiedeman d 2013), wife Marian JUNE Kordsmeier (nee Peskorse d 1966) by siblings Edward Kordsmeier d 1924, Juanita A. Blackwell (nee Kordsmeier) d 2006, George W. Kordsmeier d 2012, James R. Kordsmeier d 1993..  He was a wonderful father and father-in-law to Kathy Lewis (Dick), G Paul Kordsmeier Jr, Doug Schwaab (Lynn), Mary Woodlief (Chris), Keith Schwaab (Debbi), Leslie Alderman (Dave), John Kordsmeier (Beth), Rita Bennett (Glenn), Kim Schwaab (Dana Berkbugler) and Margaret Catanzaro (Tory).  He was grandfather to 41, great-grandfather to 46 and great-great-grandfather to 3, He had countless nieces and nephews and dear friends.
