Lorraine M. Sekarski (nee Cordes)

Age 95, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in St. Louis, Missouri. Born April 5, 1925 to Joseph and Viola (nee Jaehn) Cordes. Loving wife of the late Joseph J. Sekarski.

Lorraine graduated from Our Lady of Sorrows in the class of 1939. She loved her Church and served as a member of the choir, parish council, Over 50 club, picnic committee, Legion of Mary and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Lorraine was a dear mother to Joe (the late Aldona) Sekarski, the late Mike Sekarski, Jan (the late Ray) Godefroid, Dan (Nicole) Sekarski, Sue Stippec, the late Mary Ann Sekarski, Pat (Loriana) Sekarski, and Tim (Lynne) Sekarski; loving grandmother of Shannon (James), Lynette (Bill), Brian, Sarah (Chad), Becky (Ben), Emily, Ray Jr., Sandrine, Samuel, Stephanie, Katie, Ann, Rainey, Nick, Tyler, and Lizzie; loving great grandmother to many; dear sister of Jim Stoeppler, Judy Struss, the late Dorothy Williams, the late Mary Lou Brockschmidt, Vickie Gibson, Jerry Stoeppler, and the late Bobby Stoeppler; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Services: Visitation on Tuesday, January 26th from 10am until time of Mass at 11am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (5020 Rhodes Ave). Private interment at Jefferson Barracks Nat’l Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
