Mary Christman

Mary F. Christman, 83, passed away August 23, 2021. Mary is proceeded in death by her parents Joe and Matilda Arnold. Wife of the late Larry Christman; mother of the late Christopher Piechoinski, Dale Walker, Elantra (Adam Jabaar) Price, Alexander Mims, Michelle Altschuller, Jeffrey (Amy) Caldwell, Mark Piechoinski, Joseph (Pamela) Piechoinski, and the late Raymond Piechoinski, Jr.; grandmother of Nora (Kurt Hindman II) Piechoinski, Keyshawn Brown, Dale Walker, Jr., Elijah Price and Brielle Walker; great-grandmother of Gabrielle Hindman; sister of Betty Milentz, Charolette (Carl) Marler, James "Jimmy" Arnold and Dorothy Bartlett.

Mary was a preschool teacher and she was a volunteer at The Patch for 29 years. She did social work and coordinated a food pantry. She took countless children into her care throughout the years. Caring for people was her life. Mary received the community quarterback award from Curt Warner. In memory of Mary, please donate to St. Louis Area Foodbank or to Catholic Charities.

Services: Visitation Monday, August 30, 2021 from 4:00-9:00pm. Funeral service Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 10:00am. Both at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Home (7027 Gravois Ave.) Interment to follow at St. Matthew Cemetery.
