Morton, Robert E. “Bob”, of Saint Louis, Missouri was born July 27, 1931, in Bloomington, Illinois to Harry and Mae (nee McCarthy) Morton. Bob entered into rest Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 5 days.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife Laverne B. (nee Kilian) Morton, four (4) children, Debbie Gallop, Danny (Jayne) Morton, MaryLou Pudlowski and Dean (Brenda) Morton, sixteen (16) grandchildren, Brian (Jodi) Gallop, Amy (Terry) Holtsclaw, Julie Johnson, Greg (Annie) Morton, Katie (Paul Fehlig) Morton, Michael Morton, Tim (Marie) Pudlowski, Laura (Craig) Stutz, and Wendi (Bob) Creely, ten (10) great-grandchildren, Hannah Gallop, Nathan Gallop, Lillie Johnson, Adaleigh Johnson, Maeve Morton, Addison Sands, Trevor Pudlowski, Madelyn Pudlowski, Brendan Creely and Nate Creely, and many other relatives and friends.

Bob was the youngest of four children. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He just recently received his 65 year pin as a member of the IBEW. Bob worked for the Railroad his entire career. Bob was an easy going, likable man who enjoyed barbequing, music, dancing and having beers with friends. He was known to many as “Boogie Bob”. Bob had the talent of being able to fix everything and after retirement made clocks for many people. In his later years he became a member of the YMCA and after working out, he would go to Panera Bread Company which was his neighborhood “Cheers” where everyone knew his name. Bob will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, September 9th from 4-8 pm at JOHN L. ZIEGENHEIN & SONS FUNERAL HOMES (63129). Due to the restrictions placed on us by Covid-19 his Thursday Service will be Private. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Down Syndrome Society of Greater St. Louis.
