Russell Hitzemann Jr.

Fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the age of 86.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Doris Ann Hitzemann; loving father of Russell (Stacy) Hitzemann III; proud grandfather of Matthew (Niki) Hitzemann, Amanda (Randy) Forguson, and Zachary Hitzemann.

Russell proudly served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. He graduated with honors from St. Louis University in 1967 and retired from Southwestern Bell in 1991. He was an active member in the Marine Corps League South St. Louis Detachment 183, serving as Quarter Master.

Visitation Tuesday, October 19, 2021, 4-7pm at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons Funeral Homes, 7027 Gravois Ave.  10am Mass Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at St. Marks Catholic Church, 4200 Ripa Ave. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
