Terrence Lebaube

December 23, 1949 — November 11, 2019

Terrence (Terry) C. LeBaube, 69, died Monday, Nov. 11,2019 at Racine, Wisconsin.  He was born at St. Louis, Missouri on Dec. 23,1949 to Charles and Betty (Ferleman) LeBaube.  He is survived by his two brothers, Charles LeBaube and Edward(Sue) LeBaube, his two sisters, Denise(Ron) Jurgens and Lisa Allen, nephews Charles (Jacque) LeBaube, Aaron Foster, Daniel (Wendy) Allen, Lucas (Janice) Allen, Samuel LeBaube and nieces Amity Foster (Randall Johnson), Betsy (Joseph) Porter and Emily LeBaube.  Terry was blessed with ten great nieces and nephews and many cousins in St. Louis and Morton, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.

Terry spent his early life at home in St. Louis.  He then moved to Bethesda Lutheran Home in Watertown, WI.  When he was 27 years old, he moved to his forever home, Southern Wisconsin Center (SWC) in Union Grove, WI.  SWC was his home for 43 years.  He spent his last years living at Cottage 18.

Terry enjoyed many activities.  He worked at CRSP on the SWC campus.  He enjoyed many field trips to local activities and areas.  He loved music, especially guitar.  A yearly highlight of his and ours was the annual picnic.   We would visit that weekend.  Mom would try to turn him into a St. Louis Cardinal fan, bringing him shirts and hats to wear.  We spent time taking car rides and listening to the radio.  He loved to just hear us talk.  Terry liked to watch us and the kids play ball, do tricks and play “ throw the pinecone”.  One year we all played Parcheesi and he enjoyed fidget spinners.   He loved to eat, and while he was still able to- we would stop at DQ and drink shakes.  This past year, Terry and his family were able to visit over facetime.  It was great seeing him face to face once a week!  Most of all, Terry just liked to hangout with his family.

Over 43 years at SWC, Terry shared his home with many wonderful, caring staff and residents.  He was so blessed to have such a large family who loved him.

Terry embodied all the good that life is meant to be, being kind, giving, friendly, curious, sweet and even flirty!

We will miss him.

Terry (Ter-Bear)  With your final heartbeat, Kiss the world goodbye, Go in peace and laugh on Glory’s side, Fly to Jesus and Live!
