Obituary

Zimpelmann, Walter Nicholas, of Oakville, Missouri, was born to Walter N. and Florence M. (nee McCullough) Zimpelmann and was called home to Jesus on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in St. Louis County, Missouri at the age of 90.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his two children, Richard Nicholas and Sandra Lee and his granddaughter, Kate Tiffany.

He is survived by, his beloved wife of 65 years, Ruby Joan (nee Nissing), devoted daughter, Chris (Mike) Tiffany, cherished grandson, Justin (Mary) Tiffany, two loving great-grandchildren, Connor and Quinn, dear sister, Shirley A. Evers, adored nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Walter served his country in the Korean War aboard the USS Boxer. He retired from DMAC as an Off Set Photographer. Walter loved hunting and fishing in his younger years. Later in life he enjoyed spending his free time gardening and bird watching. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services: Family and friends to gather at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2022, until time of Service at 11:30 a.m. at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons, 4830 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
