Yvonne Pfeil

Yvonne Marie Pfeil passed away at the age of 88 on October 8, 2019, surrounded by so many people who loved her.  A lifelong St. Louis resident, Yvonne raised ten children with her late husband of 47 years, Don Pfeil Sr.  Known for her humor and gregarious personality, she never met a stranger.  Yvonne was always known for her kindness and generosity of spirit, always helping those who were down on their luck without question.  Everyone loved being around her and she was the life of every party she attended.  She took her role as a parent and grandparent seriously and was sure to instill these traits of kindness and compassion in all who were lucky enough to look up to her.  She left behind a legacy that will not soon be forgotten.
Yvonne is survived by her children, Don Pfeil Jr, Tom (Carol) Pfeil, Vicki (Dave) Landeau, Yvonne (and the late Joe) Tucker, the late Robert (Cathy) Pfeil, Charlie (Linda) Pfeil, Sandra (Wayne)  Horton, Kathy (Jeff) Fitzgibbons, Lisa (Ray) Puchalski, Ron (Joy) Pfeil, 38 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.  Her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends will miss her.
Visitation on Tuesday October 15 from 3-8 pm at Ziegenhein & Sons at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd.  63129.  There will be a Lionette Candle Ceremony at 4pm.  Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am at St Simon the Apostle Church at 11011 Mueller Rd.  Intermet at Jefferson Barracks.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southside Lionettes 3003 Stony Ridge Ct., 63129 will be appreciated.  Yvonne has been past president of the Lionette’s plus many other positions for about 60 years.  They support many charity organizations.
