Condolences

I met Vera six years ago at the Carondelet YMCA, and the banter between us never stopped. She was a force unto herself. She was always honest, forthright, and if you could look into her eyes, a very funny lady who could crack you up while keeping her own like she was playing poker. She shared herself openly and without guile. She treated others the way she wanted to be treated. She was our group organizer and cheerleader when we socialized together, and her laughter was contagious. She loved her family totally and without judgment., and there were no doubts her two sons were the lights of her life. She was a strong, determined woman in the time I called her my friend. It was these qualities, plus her faith that helped her choose the path she walked since her diagnosis. It was a difficult path, but she traveled it with grace, dignity, persistence, and the love of her family. I will miss her, but am at peace knowing she is where she wants to be.

Was so shocked to hear of Vera's passing. We had lost contact over the years. We met at South County Widow and Divorced Catholics. We hard many fun times together. Social outings, lunch dates, movies, Red Hat I express my sympathies to her family who she loved dearly. She will be missed.

I could not say it any better than Laurie Hayduk just wrote it. We love Vera and admire her courage and humor. She will be dearly missed. All my love to you Vera. God bless

To Laurie, Betty and Rosemary Thank you for the postings. Mom was humbled, touched and forever grateful to everyone that she crossed paths with in life. I was told stories of her times with each of you. Our whole family has been blessed to be connected to so many good people. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers in the days to come. Jim
